Blues Actu continues to bring you the festivals you shouldn’t miss this summer. This time we’re heading to Petit-Caux, where the Summer Blues Festival returns from July 14 to 18, 2026, for its fifth consecutive edition. Free, travelling and open to all, the event has carved out its place on the Normandy summer calendar by bringing the blues to several communities across the region. It’s an original formula that combines concerts, family-friendly activities and artists from a wide variety of musical backgrounds. Come along for the ride!
For its fifth edition, the Petit-Caux Summer Blues Festival will once again travel across five communities between July 14 and 18. Tocqueville-sur-Eu, Belleville-sur-Mer, Tourville-la-Chapelle, Saint-Martin-en-Campagne and Derchigny will each host a concert evening or special event, transforming the festival into a genuine musical journey along the Normandy coast.
Completely free of charge, the festival has gradually established itself as one of the summer’s cultural highlights in this part of Seine-Maritime. Once again, twelve bands and artists will share the bill, with an emphasis on stylistic diversity rather than a collection of headline acts.
A teaser that whets the appetite
A festival that embraces its eclecticism
The 2026 programme moves freely between blues, rock’n’roll, rockabilly, soul, folk and blues-rock.
The opening night on July 14 in Tocqueville-sur-Eu will set the tone with Freaky Billy and Rumble. The former takes audiences back to the 1950s with a repertoire inspired by Elvis Presley, Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis. The latter delivers an effective blend of rockabilly and garage rock driven by a powerful upright bass.
The following evening moves to Belleville-sur-Mer for a more acoustic atmosphere. Jonas Latour will open the festivities with performances inspired by North American rural culture and influences ranging from Jimmy Reed to Bob Dylan. Little Tom Band will then take over with a repertoire deeply rooted in American popular music.
On Thursday in Tourville-la-Chapelle, Lucky Pepper will bring its energetic vision of Louisiana-inspired blues before handing the stage to Jérôme Gauthier & The Blues Machine, a band built around classic blues-rock standards and original material.
Friday in Saint-Martin-en-Campagne will feature Sweet Caroline Band, a group heavily influenced by the British Blues Boom of the 1960s, followed by The Blue-Footed Boobies, a trio that has built a solid reputation through its blend of groove, blues and rock.
Mazingo, Little Odetta and The SuperSoul Brothers to close the festival
The festival’s grand finale will take place on Saturday, July 18, at Domaine Gabriel de Clieu in Derchigny.
The evening will feature three highly anticipated acts. Blues Actu readers already know Mazingo well. For several years, the Franco-American trio has followed a unique path, blending blues, folk, rock and country with a constant spirit of travel and adventure. Their appearance is undoubtedly one of the highlights of this edition, especially as there is every reason to believe they will be presenting songs from their upcoming album Rattlesnake (which we discussed here).

Another familiar name on our pages and airwaves, The SuperSoul Brothers will follow. One of the most active soul-funk-rock bands in southwestern France, the group will celebrate its tenth anniversary with a specially designed show.
The festival will close with Little Odetta. Founded in 2020, the band has quickly earned a strong reputation thanks to a formula that injects soul, blues and groove into an energetic and highly effective rock sound.
Blues as a family gathering
One of the defining features of the Petit-Caux Summer Blues Festival is its desire to reach audiences of all ages.
Before the festival begins, the Museum of Everyday Life History in Petit-Caux will host workshops for children focused on discovering the blues and building musical instruments. Throughout the festival, family activities will also be available every evening.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Willy Blues show will complement this family-friendly approach by telling the story of the blues through a combination of live music and video.

A festival on a human scale
At a time when many cultural events are constantly seeking to grow larger, the Petit-Caux Summer Blues Festival seems to be following a different path. A free festival spread across several communities, supported by local stakeholders and designed as much as a place for gathering as a succession of concerts. Local associations will run the refreshment stands, free shuttle services will make travel easier during the final evening, and even a barber truck will be on site to enhance the festival experience.
That philosophy probably explains why, five years after its creation, the festival continues to attract an ever-growing audience.
